Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act of 2025

This bill sets new rules for Medicare Advantage health plans when they require doctors to get approval before providing certain treatments or services, a process called prior authorization. These plans would have to use an electronic system for handling approval requests, report information each year about how many requests they approve and how quickly they respond, and meet quality and timing standards set by the government. The bill also requires a government report to be published online that looks at the information collected from these plans, whether real-time decisions on approval requests are possible, and how the use of artificial intelligence in making these decisions affects patients' access to care.
