Back to Work Act

This bill limits how often federal government employees can work from home to no more than 40% of their work days in any two-week period. It removes certain pay raises for employees who have agreements to work from home, including automatic yearly pay increases and extra pay based on where they live. Agencies must monitor remote workers using technical methods and review telework arrangements each year. The bill allows agencies to make stricter limits based on job requirements and provides some exceptions for bad weather, emergencies, or employees with special circumstances like military spouses or hard-to-fill positions.
