Continued Rapid Ohia Death Response Act of 2025

This bill creates requirements for the government to research and control Rapid Ohia Death, which is a disease caused by a fungus that affects a specific type of tree in Hawaii. The Department of the Interior must work with the Department of Agriculture and Hawaii to control this disease. Government agencies must continue studying how the disease spreads and managing certain mammals like deer in affected areas. The Forest Service must provide money to prevent the fungus from spreading and to restore Hawaii's native forests, plus fund research at a Pacific Islands forestry institute.
