Historic Roadways Protection Act

This bill stops the Bureau of Land Management from closing historic roads on public lands in certain parts of Utah until a federal court decides ongoing legal cases about those roads. Utah and 22 counties are suing to keep these historic roads open, claiming they have legal rights to use them under an old 1866 law that encouraged western settlement. The bill prevents the Bureau of Land Management from spending federal money to create or carry out new travel management plans in specific Utah areas until the court cases are resolved.
