STRIVE Act of 2025

This bill stops the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) from collecting copayments from veterans for hospital care or medical services if more than two years have passed since the veteran received that care, as long as the VA didn't give the veteran timely notice about the copay or didn't notify them that their total copay amount was over $2,000. The bill also allows the VA to waive copayments for veterans whenever it decides it's appropriate, even if the veteran didn't ask for a waiver. Additionally, the bill extends a rule that limits pension amounts for certain veterans who are in hospitals or care facilities, pushing the expiration date from November 30, 2031, to February 29, 2032.
