Stop Dangerous Sanctuary Cities Act

This bill would stop certain federal funding from going to "sanctuary" cities or states — places that have laws or policies limiting how much they share information about people's immigration status with the federal government, or that don't follow requests from the Department of Homeland Security to hold people in custody. Specifically, these places would lose access to certain economic development and community development grants. The bill also says that when local or state governments do follow federal requests to detain someone, they would be treated as acting on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security and would have reduced legal responsibility for doing so.
