ACERO Act

This bill gives official authority to a NASA project called ACERO that develops new ways to fight wildfires using drones and other advanced aircraft. The project works on managing airspace during wildfire responses by sharing real-time information between response teams and creating systems to track aircraft locations. It also creates plans for federal, state, and local agencies to better coordinate their aircraft during wildfire fights. NASA must work with other agencies to avoid duplicating work and generally cannot buy drones from certain foreign companies, including those controlled by China.
