PRECEPT Nurses Act

This bill creates a new tax credit for nurses who train nursing students or new nurses. Eligible nurse preceptors can claim a $2,000 tax credit if they provide at least 200 certified hours of supervision, training, and mentoring to nursing students or newly hired nurses in areas that have shortages of health professionals. The tax credit would be available through 2032, and the IRS would report to Congress each year about how many people use the credit and where they are located.
