ARMOR Act

This bill speeds up the process for selling or sharing military equipment and services with Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada. It removes the requirement to notify Congress and wait for approval when exporting certain defense items that already fall under the security partnership between Australia, the UK, and the United States known as AUKUS. The bill also requires the Department of State to regularly review the list of military items left out of the AUKUS partnership to make sure only items truly needed for national security reasons are excluded. Additionally, it makes clear that a faster review process for exporting certain advanced military technology to Australia, the UK, and Canada applies to all types of transfers, as long as the items stay within or move between those countries and the United States.
