State Border Security Reimbursement Act of 2025

This bill would require the federal government to pay back states for money they spent on border security. To qualify, a state must have spent more than $2.5 billion of its own money on border security and enforcement in the 10 years before this bill becomes law. If a qualifying state provides a complete list of all their border security costs that weren't already paid for by the federal government by a certain deadline, the federal government must pay them back the full amount.
