Extreme Risk Protection Order Expansion Act of 2025

This bill creates a program where the federal government would give money to states, local governments, and tribes to help them set up and run "red flag" laws. These laws let people like law enforcement officers or family members ask a court to temporarily stop someone who may be a risk from buying or having guns. The bill also makes it a federal rule that people under these court orders cannot receive, have, ship, or move guns and ammunition. Finally, it requires the FBI to collect and keep records from courts and agencies that show who is currently under one of these orders.
