Alaska Native Village Municipal Lands Restoration Act of 2025

This law changes a rule about land owned by Alaska Native village corporations. Currently, these corporations are required to give certain lands to the state of Alaska to be held for future local governments that might be created. This law removes that requirement, so the village corporations no longer have to give up that land. It also lets village corporations take back land that is already being held in trust by the state, as long as both the corporation and the village residents formally agree to end the trust.
