Veterans Foreign Medical Coverage Equality and Modernization Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide hospital care and medical services to veterans outside the United States. The veteran must have a permanent and total service-connected disability and meet other eligibility requirements. The VA can only provide this foreign care if the treatment follows standard U.S. medical practices and any prescription drugs are approved by the FDA. The bill also requires the VA to allow direct deposit payments to veterans and medical providers for this care, and to update their mobile apps so veterans can submit forms digitally and track their requests in real time.
