Uncheck the Box Act

This bill sets rules for recurring political donations, which are donations that automatically repeat over time. It says that anyone asking for recurring donations to political groups or campaigns must get clear, active permission from the donor — they can't use tricks like pre-checked boxes that the donor has to uncheck to opt out. Groups that accept recurring donations must send a receipt for every charge, include clear instructions on how to cancel in every message they send to the donor, and must immediately stop the recurring donations if the donor asks them to.
