To reauthorize the Young Women’s Breast Health Education and Awareness Requires Learning Young Act of 2009.

This bill renews and updates programs run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that help with breast and cervical cancer screening, education, and treatment. It extends a program that gives grants to states so people with low incomes or no insurance can get cancer screenings and treatment, and it gives states more freedom in how they spend that money. The bill also requires a report to Congress on how many people the program is helping and what problems people face in getting screened. Additionally, it renews CDC programs focused on teaching young women about breast health and providing support to young women diagnosed with breast cancer.
