Interagency Patent Coordination and Improvement Act of 2025

This bill creates a team made up of people from both the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) so the two agencies can work together better when it comes to patents related to human drugs and biological products. The team would share information about how each agency reviews applications, such as patent applications and new drug applications, and keep each other updated on new approvals. The bill also requires the USPTO to ask the FDA for information that could help patent reviewers do their jobs, requires the FDA to provide that information, and has the USPTO help the FDA with its role in listing patents.
