Restore VA Accountability Act of 2025

This bill changes how the Department of Veterans Affairs can discipline or fire certain employees. It allows the VA to remove, demote, or suspend supervisors and managers if there is substantial evidence their performance or misconduct justifies such action. These employees would get advance notice, can have a lawyer represent them, and can file internal complaints about the action. The bill protects whistleblowers and those reporting discrimination from being punished. It also changes the rules for disciplining all VA employees and senior executives, requiring substantial evidence before taking action against them, and these new rules apply back to June 2017.
