Freights First Act

This bill would remove Amtrak's priority to use railroad tracks, junctions, and crossings when they are within 50 miles of a port or rail yard. Currently, Amtrak gets to use these rail lines first, except during emergencies. Under this bill, freight trains would not have to give way to Amtrak passenger trains in these areas near ports and rail yards.
