ACO Assignment Improvement Act of 2025

This bill changes how Medicare decides which patients are assigned to accountable care organizations, which are groups of doctors and other healthcare providers that work together to coordinate patient care. Currently, patients are assigned based on their use of primary care services from doctors in the organization. The bill would expand this to also include primary care services from physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists who work for the organization when deciding patient assignments.
