USTRx Act

This bill creates a new position called the Chief Pharmaceutical Trade Negotiator within the U.S. Trade Representative's office. This person would be responsible for negotiating trade deals and enforcing trade agreements related to American-made medicines, specifically focusing on wealthy countries whose policies make it harder for U.S. drug manufacturers to sell their products. The bill also requires the U.S. Trade Representative to publish a yearly list of high-income countries, report on how those countries' actions affect pharmaceutical trade, and submit a plan to Congress for how the U.S. should respond to any unfair trade practices related to medicines.
