Wildfire Emergency Preparedness Act of 2025

This bill sets up new programs to help the country better prepare for and respond to wildfires, especially in areas where wild lands meet neighborhoods and buildings. It creates a new position in the Department of Agriculture to coordinate the government's wildfire efforts and allows grants for fire departments to get training and protective gear. The bill also lets Department of Defense firefighters help out during wildfires if asked, requires research into protecting firefighters' breathing health from wildfire hazards, and requires FEMA search and rescue teams to include mental health support and training for their members.
