Hawaii Invasive Species Protection Act

This bill requires the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to check people, luggage, cargo, and other items going to or from Hawaii for dangerous invasive species and agricultural materials. The inspections would happen at airports, ports, and mail facilities using visual checks, x-rays, and dogs. The agency must work with Hawaii to create a list of items that need to be inspected, and fees would be charged to pay for these inspections.
