Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act of 2025

This bill makes it illegal to knowingly spread false information about voting within 60 days of a federal election if the goal is to stop someone from voting. It also bans using artificial intelligence to create false voting information for that same purpose and prohibits interfering with people's ability to vote or register to vote. If false information is being spread, the Department of Justice is required to put out correct information to the public if local officials haven't already done so. The bill also makes it illegal to intimidate people involved in processing ballots or counting and certifying votes, and it allows people harmed by these actions to take legal action and sets up criminal penalties for violations.
