Youth Voting Rights Act

This bill makes several changes to voting rules that affect young people. It allows people to sue if they believe their voting rights are being denied because of their age, and lets the Justice Department take action against age-based restrictions on mail voting. The bill requires states to let people 16 and older pre-register to vote for federal elections that happen when they turn 18, makes college offices help students register to vote, and requires polling places on college campuses. It also removes requirements that people live in a place for a certain amount of time before voting in federal elections, and requires states to accept college student ID cards for voting if the state requires voter ID.
