Expanding the VOTE Act

This bill makes it easier for people who don't speak English well to get voting materials in their own language. Right now, certain areas must provide voting help in languages other than English for American Indian, Asian American, Alaska Native, and Spanish-speaking citizens. The bill requires the Justice Department to tell these areas about their language requirements and makes sure election workers get translated materials. It also gives money to encourage more places to translate voting materials, even if they're not required to do so.
