DETECT Act of 2025

This bill requires the Government Accountability Office to send a report to Congress within 180 days about how artificial intelligence could be used to help the Internal Revenue Service find tax fraud. The report would look at whether AI technology has the potential to improve how the IRS catches people who cheat on their taxes.
