Middle Mile for Rural America Act

This bill extends through 2031 a Department of Agriculture program that helps build a certain type of broadband internet infrastructure in rural areas. The program focuses on "middle mile" infrastructure, which is the behind-the-scenes network equipment that carries internet data between major connection points but doesn't connect directly to homes or businesses. The program offers grants, loans, and loan guarantees to support these projects in rural areas. It was originally created in 2018 but has never received funding.
