Pipeline Security Act

This bill gives the Transportation Security Administration official authority to protect pipelines from cyber attacks, terrorism, and other security threats. The TSA must create security guidelines for pipelines, inspect critical pipeline facilities, and meet with pipeline companies at least once to discuss security issues. The TSA must also report to Congress every two years about its pipeline security work and create a plan for hiring people with the right skills to protect pipelines. The Government Accountability Office will review how well this bill is working.
