SWAMP Act

This bill stops federal agencies from building new headquarters, doing major repairs, or signing leases in the Washington DC area. Instead, it creates a system where states and local governments can compete to have federal agency headquarters moved to their area. The General Services Administration would run this process and choose winning locations based on specific factors.
