Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe of Southampton County, Virginia, Federal Recognition Act

This bill officially recognizes the Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe of Southampton County, Virginia, as a federally recognized tribe, making the tribe and its members eligible for federal services and benefits available to recognized tribes. If the tribe asks, the Department of the Interior must take certain land the tribe owns in Southampton County into trust, and that land would be considered the tribe's reservation.
