WIRELESS Leadership Act

This bill sets rules for how state and local governments handle requests from wireless companies to build or change cell towers and other wireless equipment. It requires governments to approve or deny these requests within set deadlines, and if they don't respond in time, the request is automatically approved. The bill also says state and local governments cannot treat different wireless companies or types of wireless equipment unfairly, though they can still set reasonable safety and appearance standards. Any fees that states or local governments charge for reviewing these requests must be fair, made public ahead of time, and based on the actual costs of processing them.
