Ensuring Military Readiness Not Discrimination Act

This bill sets rules for who can serve in the military. It says the military cannot use a person's race, color, national origin, religion, or sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, or sex characteristics) when deciding if someone can join any branch of the Armed Forces. The bill also requires military departments to treat all service members equally regardless of these same characteristics when making personnel policies.
