Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Reauthorization Act of 2025

This bill extends funding through 2031 for programs that help patients get bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplants from donors who are not related to them. These programs work to increase donations, match donors with patients, and share information and research. The bill also updates the national cord blood supply program by changing how the government decides how much cord blood to keep in storage, requiring the agency in charge to manage the supply based on what is most useful and efficient, and setting a clear definition of what counts as a high-quality cord blood unit.
