Go Pack Go Act of 2025

This bill would require cable and satellite TV providers to give subscribers in certain Wisconsin counties that are assigned to out-of-state TV markets the option to receive Wisconsin-based TV programming instead of, or in addition to, their current out-of-state programming. Sometimes counties near state borders are grouped into TV markets in neighboring states, which means people in those areas get news and sports from another state rather than from Wisconsin. Under this bill, affected subscribers would be able to choose their current out-of-state programming, Wisconsin-based programming from a nearby market, or both. The bill also says that when providers offer Wisconsin-based programming to subscribers who choose it, that counts toward the providers' existing legal requirements for carrying local channels.
