Sickle Cell Disease Comprehensive Care Act

This bill would let state Medicaid programs create special health centers called "health homes" for people with sickle-cell disease. These health homes would coordinate all of a person's medical care in one place. States would have to make sure these centers include dental and vision care. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services would create guidelines to help states set up these health homes.
