Protect Beneficiaries from Middlemen Act

This bill changes how much Medicare patients pay for prescription drugs. For drug costs that fall between the deductible and the annual spending limit, patients would pay either the average net price of the drug (which includes rebates) or the cash price, whichever is lower. The Government Accountability Office must write a report on how well this new rule works.
