Veterans Emergency Care Reimbursement Act of 2025

This bill changes the rules for how the Department of Veterans Affairs pays veterans back for emergency medical care they received outside of VA facilities. It allows the VA to reimburse veterans for copayments of $100 or more, and it says that deductibles and coinsurance should not count against what the VA will pay back. These changes would apply to any reimbursement claims for emergency care received on or after February 1, 2010, including claims from veterans involved in a specific court case.
