RACE Act

The RACE Act sets deadlines for states to count votes and confirm results in federal elections. States would have to finish counting all ballots by 10:00 p.m. on election day and certify the results within 48 hours after the election. The bill allows exceptions for real emergencies like major disasters or technical problems such as broken voting equipment.
