Critical Access Hospital Relief Act of 2025

This bill would remove a Medicare rule that requires doctors to certify that patients in critical access hospitals can be discharged or moved to another hospital within 96 hours. Currently, Medicare only pays for services at these hospitals if a doctor confirms the patient will likely leave within that time frame. The bill would eliminate this 96-hour requirement.
