Pay Our Homeland Defenders Act of 2026

This bill would make sure certain Department of Homeland Security workers still get paid during a government shutdown in 2026 or 2027. The workers who would keep getting paid include DHS law enforcement officers, employees needed to handle payroll and accounting, and U.S. Coast Guard members and staff. The payments would continue until either Congress passes a regular budget or until January 1, 2027, whichever comes first.
