Protection of Lawful Commerce in Stone Slab Products Act

This bill would stop people from suing companies that make or sell stone slab products — like those made from quartz, porcelain, glass, or similar materials — in both federal and state courts. Specifically, it prevents lawsuits against these manufacturers or sellers when someone is injured because a different company cut or shaped the stone product, including injuries from breathing in silica dust or other substances. Any lawsuits like this that are already in progress when the bill becomes law would have to be thrown out.
