LAUNCH Act

The bill also raises the importance of the FAA's commercial space office by making it a higher-level agency that reports directly to the Department of Transportation. Additionally, it updates the licensing process for private satellite systems that collect images of Earth's surface and requires a government review of how that industry is being regulated.
