Expanding Labor Representation in the Workforce System Act

This bill changes the rules for workforce development boards, which help plan job training and employment programs. Currently, 20% of board members must represent workers, but this bill would increase that to 30%. The bill also expands the definition of labor organizations that can have representatives on these boards to include unions, groups made up of unions, and organizations that represent farm workers and government employees.
