ARTIST Act

This bill stops states from banning the sale or trade of certain marine mammal products — like ivory, bone, or baleen — that are made by Alaska Natives. Under the bill, if an Alaska Native legally creates handicrafts or clothing from these materials, states cannot block people from bringing in, selling, trading, or owning those items.
