To authorize the reimbursement by the Federal Government of State funds used to maintain participation in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children in the event of a Government shutdown.

This bill would require the federal government to pay back state agencies that spend their own money to keep the WIC program running during a government shutdown. WIC provides healthy foods, nutrition education, and referrals to health and social services for low-income women, infants, and children. States would get reimbursed for any state funds they use to maintain WIC operations when federal funding stops during a shutdown.
