HEATS Act

This bill would provide funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) during government shutdowns. LIHEAP gives money to states, tribes, and territories to help low-income households pay their energy bills. The bill would make sure this assistance continues even when the government shuts down due to funding lapses.
