Keep WIC Working Act

This bill gives the Department of Agriculture money to keep running the WIC program if the government's regular funding runs out in fiscal year 2026. WIC is a program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, and referrals to health services for low-income pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children. The bill also allows the government to pay back states that used their own money to keep WIC running from September 30, 2025 until this bill becomes law. The funding from this bill would last until Congress passes the regular 2026 budget for the Department of Agriculture.
