To amend the Export Control Reform Act of 2018 to increase the civil penalties that may be imposed under such Act.

This bill raises the fines for breaking U.S. laws that control what goods and technology can be sent to other countries. Right now, someone who breaks these rules can be fined up to $300,000 or twice the value of the deal, whichever amount is higher. This bill would increase that to up to $1.2 million or four times the value of the deal, whichever is higher.
