Firearm Access During Shutdowns Act

This bill requires certain government offices that handle firearms-related work to keep operating during government shutdowns. This includes the FBI's background check system for gun purchases, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives enforcement programs, and offices that process export licenses for firearms. The bill treats these services as emergency functions related to public safety, which means the employees who do this work must continue working even when the government shuts down.
