VA Work-Study Improvement Act

This bill makes changes to the VA's work-study program for veterans, including who can participate and how much they get paid. It adds new qualifying work-study jobs at state governments, local governments, and nonprofit organizations, as long as the work helps veterans or military members. The bill requires that workers in the program are paid the highest minimum wage available, whether that's the federal employee minimum, the state minimum wage, or the local minimum wage. It also requires the VA to let participants track their work hours electronically and to publish yearly information about the program, including details about who is participating.
